About Me

Who am I...

My name is Mitchell Lafferty. I have a passion for learning new things & enjoy tinkering with hardware & software.

I also enjoy the concept of open/free source software.

What I do...

I support the use of and  ♥  free source software / open source software (FOSS), and work on projects (such as YaTC) at launchpad.net, stackoverflow.com, sourceforge.net, brainstorm.ubuntu.com

My motivation comes from my strong curiosity in how things work which is how I learned how to program in 2007 (and I ♥  programming now)

I also love photography & graphic designing too & enjoy team work and working with people.

I am also the class leader for Digital Divide, and I am also involved in SECME. The current programing languages I know so far are: Perl, Python, Several types of Bash, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, a little bit of C and C++ and Java, and more.

I am certified in MOS, and A+ and I am currently working on getting Net+, Server+, Linux+, security+, MSCE certifications and want to major in computer engineering.

The only languages I know are English and "un poco espanol"

my favorite sites:
flightgear.org, thelastlecture.com, rockbox.org, counter.li.org, linux.org, perl.org and..... many more Linux related sites :D
